My name is Nimish Jalan, I am from Mumbai but have been living away for a decade now. Bengaluru has been home for the most part of it. During this time I got an MBA in International Marketing, became a certified scuba diver, learned Spanish, traveled to 15 new countries, worked in 3 startups and made numerous memories.
In 2014, I took a trip to the Philippines with three friends, which changed me and my life. The same year I decided to take a year-long sabbatical from work & saved for approximately 30 months to realize the dream to backpack for a year through the Americas on a budget.
In 2017, I traveled through the Americas – USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica & Colombia for 11 months. It was the trip of my life & it led to a lot of personal growth.
In 2018, I returned from this trip and took up a gig at another start-up to immediately realize that I do not want to be working the 9-5. I had been looking for a passion and on a recent trip to Dharamshala, I think I realized that traveling, experiencing new things, meeting people from various cultures, eating food from around the globe is what makes me happiest.
It was through this realization that I would like to share some of my travel experiences with the world. I love traveling solo, with other travelers, backpacking, for adventure tourism & also for experiential traveling. I like sharing information, experiences, creating lists & being creative while traveling. I am starting this blog with the intention to have fun.
